Statement of the conference
Landscape is where humans dwell. Here we work, think, dream, love, raise new generations, and interact with other living beings, the earth and the sea. Humans and other living beings have time-space rhythms. So does the milieu. Ways of life are established and change with the passage of time, as does the landscape. A part of the past lives on in each woman and man; and in every landscape live bits of the past. Life in a landscape is a complex whole, a process, involving the past, present and future In this context, knowledge, practice, and imagination are the principal themes to be addressed at the conference.
CALL FOR PAPERS
The Organising committee of the PECSRL 24th Session “Living in Landscapes: Knowledge, Practice, Imagination” invites you to submit proposals of a
Submissions of any kind of proposals will be refereed for relevance, originality, correctness and quality, and with the goal of creating a varied overall conference programme. Submissions will be reviewed and selected by the Conference Scientific committee or special sessions organisers.
Accepted abstracts will be published in the Special Volume of the “Scientific papers of University of Latvia” with ISBN and ISSN number.
Submission and format of abstracts
Send your abstract by e-mail attachment to the Conference Office at pecsrl2010@lu.lv. You should receive a confirmation message from the Conference Office by e-mail within two working days of your submission. If you do not, please contact conference secretary at anita.zarina@lu.lv.
Please indicate the preferred form of presentation (oral/poster). Also indicate the theme or session you are sending your abstract to. Do not include figures or pictures in the abstract. Please save the abstract file in DOC format, using your last name as the file name.
Abstracts should include the following:
- Title (in CAPITAL letters)
- Authors’ names (Surname, First name)
- Affiliations for all the authors
- E-mail address for the main author
- Keywords (no more than five)
- Body of text (200-300 words)
